About nine out of ten people are chocolate aficionados and 50 percent say that they cannot go a day without having their quota of chocolate yet it has always been the forbidden fruit for us until recent studies have shown us the light at the end of the tunnel. It has been known for a while that having a piece of dark chocolate is not such a bad thing but using it for weight loss leaves people skeptical still. How can such a good thing be helpful for such a tenacious task? Well, it is, after all don’t trends like pole dancing and burlesque lessons for losing weight also have a feel good factor associated with them?
Of course, it has to be the right kind of chocolate, not your famous branded processed chocolate bar that you pick up in your line at the cashier of a supermarket. Dark chocolates of a good make will not have the sugar content that your favor candy bar has as it will be replaced with natural sugar substitutes that do not have any calorie content to them. They will have a more intense extract of the beans from a cacao tree which is used for all chocolates but without being processed with full fat milk or cream that is laden with fat. It should not have any additives which will make it unhealthy or reduce the ability of the chocolate to satiate your taste buds with flavonoids that help you boost your mood as well as help suppress your appetite.
Making dark chocolate as a part of the daily diet is good to help reduce the craving that compulsive eaters have of junk food. A feeling of calmness and relief from stress is a sidekick of eating this treat which is an added advantage with the process of weight loss being fraught with anxiousness.
Who said the good things in life are supposed to be bad for you? Thankfully dark chocolate proves the theory wrong!
