What do you buy the woman who has everything? That’s probably a question that’s occupying the minds of lots of guys at the moment with Christmas fast approaching. And stores know that it’s men that they have to try and entice into their stores – you just have to look at how many of them are sticking billboards or a pop up stand outside on the pavement advertising “the perfect gift for her”. To be honest, most guys do the little shopping they have to online; and hope it gets delivered in time for Christmas day!

If you’re looking for a truly original gift for the woman in your life then you could do a lot worse than to check out the unique range of Lady Gag gifts on offer at Barneys New York the other night. Provided that she’s a Lady Gaga fan, of course! Most people who don’t like her music at least appreciate her sense of style, and that’s reflected in a lot of the weird and wacky presents on offer. As you might expect, some are ridiculously priced, and way out of the reach of us ordinary mortals, but there are a few that retail for less than $100 – including a chocolate Lady Gaga shoe.

Unsurprisingly, this was the item that caught my eye when I heard about the new range. The shoe, which is a life size model of an Alexander McQueen design that the lady herself wore to a red carpet event, is pretty impressively detailed. But it’s still just a chocolate shoe. Perhaps the idea is that you buy it and keep it, as a novelty item, but there’s no way that would happen in my house. No matter how pretty or expensive a piece of chocolate is, to me it’s only a delicious piece of chocolate and would be devoured in seconds. So if my husband is reading this; stick to a cheap box of Milk Tray and steer clear of the chocolate shoes!
